Fan Dynamics Inc specializes in industrial and commercial fan technical services. As a millwright you will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and refurbishing of all types of air and material handling fans and blowers. Each customer job presents a unique challenge that utilizes your diverse skill set. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of achieving goals with minimal supervision, and be committed to high levels of workmanship and customer service.
Fan Technician / Millright
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect and troubleshoot fan equipment. Determine the repairs required, parts & materials needed, and proper procedure to carry out the work.
- Safe work practices.
- Remove and replace electric motors, motor bases, v-belt drives, couplings, fan bearings, fan shafts, and fan wheels. Other repairs as required.
- Fan preventative maintenance.
- Laser shaft alignments.
- Dynamic rotor balancing.
- Vibration analysis.
- Hoisting and rigging.
- Work hours as per customer requirements. 80% standard weekday hours. After hours and weekends as necessary with premium pay rate.
- Paid travel to job sites in the greater Toronto area and Southern Ontario. Home everyday.
Qualifications:
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification with 5 years of Millwright experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a practical problem solving ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comprehensive computer skills.
- Experience with electrical, welding, and/or vibration analysis would be an asset.
- Carry a valid “G” drivers licence.
